I could lift my head above the water,
But I don’t need to,
The view is just fine from here,
And I’m breathing fast, but it’s okay
I’m not drowning for once,
Rather floating in peace.
I’m not thinking about what happens next,
In a good way.
I feel content in this moment
And for once, I don’t care if it lasts.
The chaos has paused,
Even if just for a minute
